Several years ago, during lunch at the office, a co-worker exclaimed, "you should start a blog!" after hearing one of my ridiculous relationship stories. So I did.

My name is Laura. I am 30 something years old and am married to a super cool guy named Drake. Fortunately, he puts up with my ridiculousness, because at this age, I am unlikely to find someone else who would. I owe the title of this blog to him. When asked to describe me in 3-4 words, he said, "liquor in a teacup" with zero hesitation. (Which is why I love him so.) 

 

Whenever someone asks if I have kids, I tell them about my two dogs. (Seriously, ask me about my dogs). 

 

I live in a Canadian city and I have a full-time real job that takes up so much of my brain space, that I often forget to post on here. Oops! (It's cool, only like 5 people read this anyways). 

 

I would describe myself as "delightfully wacky." However, I constantly struggle to reconcile the person I am right now with the person I want to be when I grow up. I've learned the hard way that boundaries are important and sometimes the people you love the most can hurt you the most. 

 

My signature hairstyle is yesterday's hair, but today with copious amounts of dry shampoo. I refuse to go anywhere without my iPad, water bottle, and fuzzy socks. There now, we're practically married.
